Using the intersection of education and mental health, this trip will capture the different aspects of mental health in education; for instance, special education, neurodivergence, and teacher burnout. Considering Boston is located in one of the highest-ranked states in education and healthcare with the first public school started in Boston, the location will offer insight into the history behind educational inequality combined with the rising mental health issues in the US. With multiple renowned research universities and efficient public school districts in Boston’s backyard, the trip will provide special insight into education through a successful lens.

Lindsay Flores
Hello! I’m Lindsay and I’m a sophomore majoring in Human Biology with a minor in Education from Oklahoma City, Oklahoma originally. As an education nerd, I have experience teaching and working with students from under-represented backgrounds while creating curriculums from scratch. I cannot wait to explore education inequality in Boston!
